Chavers Yadkinville- Mrs. Paula Kay Driver Chavers, 43, of Sugartown Road passed away Thursday March 22, 2012. She was born June 20, 1968 in Surry County to James P. and Kay Collins Driver. Mrs. Chavers started working in Health Care at the age of 16. She was an L.P.N. with Yadkin Valley Home Health and Mountain Valley Hospice. The desire to care for others did not stop with her work. She was dedicated and believed in helping others, and it was shown in actions throughout her life. Mrs. Chavers was a faithful member of Believers Baptist Church where she lovingly served the church in various ways such as pianist, preparing bullitens, or helping with Bible School. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter to her family. She loved fishing, horseback riding, or spending time with each of them. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethany Suzanne Chavers; grandparents, Nelson and Gerthie Collins, and Giles and Lillian Hutchens Driver; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Surviving are her husband, Donald Donny C. Chavers, of the home; 2 sons, Kenneth Kenny Wayne Chavers, Nelson Dwayne Chavers, both of the home; her parents, James P. and Kay Collins Driver, Yadkinville; Brother, David (Dena) Driver, Yadkinville; Niece, Katey Driver; nephew, Paul Driver, Yadkinville; special aunts, Joan Collins, Edith Sprinkle, Bobbie Jane Collins, Shelba (Clifford) Royall, Mary Lou Trivette; and an uncle, Miles J. Driver. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Dean Chandler. Burial will follow in the Deep Creek Friends Church Cemetery.
