Mary Ann Harmon Moxley

Moxley Boonville Mary Ann Harmon Moxley, 79, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 21, 2012 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born November 26, 1932 in Surry County to the late Theodore Lawrence and Gertha Gentry Harmon. She was a member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time outdoors, farming, and baking for all of her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Moxley; son, Jerry Allen Moxley; brothers, James Lawrence Harmon, David Hugh Harmon. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Moxley (Danny) Carpenter; granddaughters, Mary Moxley (Chad) Sale, Sgt. Ann Marie (Fianc SSG Robert Beavers) Moxley who is currently deployed with the National Guard 1452nd Combat HET Co.; Daughter-in-law, Jane Souther Moxley; special friends, Carolyn Woodruff, Wilma Singleton. Her funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip Link and the Rev. Perry Link. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Moxley family.
