James Russell Bishop

Bishop Boonville James Russell Bishop, 65, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was born October 17, 1946 in Pike County, KY, to the late Kern Bishop and Mollie Younce Bishop Greer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Bishop. Surviving are his sisters, Jackie (Jay) Casstevens, Debbie (Jerry) Johnson; brother, David Greer; nieces, Gina (James) Cranford, Trina (Rick) Swaim, Kristie (Marty) Owens, Misty (Philip) Ballinger, Heather (Jon) Gambill, Tara Joyner; nephew, Bradley (Shelia) Greer; great nieces and nephews that he treated like grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Austin, Katie, Neelie, J.Max, Elyse, Olivia, Alyssa, Maddie, Vince, Sarah, Josh. His funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Charles Turner. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 Monday, one hour prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Bishop family.
