Olivia Rose Norman Reece

Boonville Mrs. Olivia Rose Norman Reece, 92, affectionately known as Granny Rabbit, passed away Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at Magnolia Over The Yadkin. Mrs. Reece was born August 22, 1919 in Yadkin County to Hovey and Mamie Davis Norman. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Wilson Reece; one infant brother, Davis Norman; and three sisters, Helen Thelitz, Fern Shore, and Arlene Williams. She is survived by four children, Sue (Dan) Lineberry, John (Dinah) Reece, Graham (Elaine) Reece, and Robin (Tom) Summers; nine grandchildren, Devin (Jodi) Lineberry, Mitch (Meia) Lineberry, Michael (Mary) Reece, Melanie (Joseph) Alexander, Michelle (Jim) Benton, Holly (Tim) Benton, James Summers (Jennifer), Megan (Dewayne) Pyrtle, Erin (Michael) Lee; sixteen great grandchildren, Haili, Heather, Lindsey, Logan, Gwyn, Jude, Wilson, Reece, Courtney, West, Leslie, Adian, Ty, Kenlee, William, and Jenna; one great-great grandchild, Penn; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Eddy Driver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
