Darren Wood

- Mr. Darren Wood, 44, of Lower Stone Church Road in Rockwell, NC passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1967 in Yadkin County to Robert Arnold Bob Wood and Judy Childress Miller. Mr. Wood enjoyed both listening and singing different types of music. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Arnold Bob Wood, by aunts, Virginia Pratt, Edith Winters, Glenda G. Brown, and by an uncle, Gene Winters. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Judy C. (Bill) Miller of Rockwell, NC; special cousins which were the same as his brothers and sisters, Lewis Brown, Eric Brown, Nick Winters, Lisa Crothers, Jeff Childress, Beth Beamer, Wendy Childress, Joseph Childress; 2 uncles, Ray (Wanda) Childress, Steve (Janice) Childress. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:30 PM Thursday in the New Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. J.P. Sizemore.
