Mildred Williams Wooten

Yadkinville Mrs. Mildred Williams Wooten, 97, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Yadkin Nursing Home. Mrs. Wooten was born June 27, 1914 in Yadkin County to Isaac and Cora Hobson Williams. She was a member of Pilot View Friends Church and was the last of eleven children. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Wooten; her son, Donald; her second husband, Taft Cummings; and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Audrey (Rick) Batte; a son, Kenneth Wooten; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Scott) Larson and Elliott Batte; and a great granddaughter, Ashleigh Larson. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Pilot View Friends Church Cemetery with Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilot View Friends Church, Yveddi, or the Salvation Army.
