Roxanna Ledford White

Hamptonville Mrs. Edie Roxanna Ledford White, 99, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. White was born March 30, 1913 in Cleveland County to Thomas and Sarah White Ledford. She was a member of New Home United Methodist Church in Casar, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. S.E. White; a son, Steve White; two sisters; and six brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Shirlene (Dwight) Trivette of Hamptonville and Jean (Ronnie) Wooten of Boonville; four sons, Tim (Brenda) White of Elkin, Tommy White of Hamptonville, Philip (Kathy) White, and Danny (Lillie) White all of Marion; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Asbury UMC with Rev. Mack Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
