Peggy Porter Ratledge

Mrs. Peggy Geraldine Porter Ratledge, 75, passed away Thursday May 31, 2012 at Elkin Healtcare. Mrs. Ratledge was born April 26, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late Loyd Horton & Carrie King Porter. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Ennis Luffman and Reba Saleem; two brothers Lewis Porter and Gene Porter. Surviving are her husband Thurmond Howard Retledge; one sister Faye Blevins; two brothers Don (Joyce) Porter and Larry (Joy) Porter; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday June 2, 2012 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Danny Dodds and Rev. Wayne Ratcliffe. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Elkin Health Care and United Hospice in Wilkes County for the loving care given to Mrs. Ratledge.
