Frances Hutchens Allred

Allred Yadkinville - Frances Ilene Hutchens Allred, 85, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born October 2, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Nick Monroe Hutchens and Turnie Blanche Hutchens. Preceding her in death was her husband of 52 years, R.A. Allred. She worked for a short time at the P & N Department Store and for the Lester Myers' Salvage Grocery. She was a life-long member of Pilot View Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Gertrude Williams, Hazel Doub, Ben Hutchens, Ethel Willard, Blain Hutchens, Harriet Lackey, and Myrtle Murphy. Surviving are her children, Nick Daniel (Kathy) Allred, Robert Andrew "Bob" (Nancy) Allred, David Lawrence (Glenda) Allred; brother, Paul (Lou) Hutchens; grandchildren, Andy Allred, Laura (Keith) Pack, Ryan Allred, Brett Allred, Brooke (Seth) Forrest; great grandchildren, Caitlin Pack, Garret Pack, Keaton Forrest, Beckham Forrest; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Pilot View Friends Meeting by the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Pilot View Friends Meeting, in care of Judi Phillips, Treasurer @ 3225 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
