Kathryn Pearl Gaither

Gaither Yadkinville - Kathryn Pearl Williams Gaither, 89, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. She was born April 3, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Columbus Williams and Pearl Davis Williams. She was a graduate of Yadkinville High School and Catawba College where she also played on the basketball team. Kathryn was a proud and lifelong member of Pilot View Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moody Z. Gaither, Jr.; brothers, H. Smith Williams, Sr., Lawrence C. Williams; nephew, Ted C. Williams. Surviving are her niece, Dixie Jo Williams-Kilby and Husband Tom and their children Ethan, William, and Anna Kathryn; nephew, H. Smith Williams, Jr. and wife Goldie and their children Caroline and Katey; great nephew, Tate Williams. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Pilot View Friends Meeting by the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall at Pilot View Friends Meeting.
