Clyde Thomas Davis

Boonville Mr. Clyde Thomas Davis, 89, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Davis was born November 28, 1922 in Surry County to Leonard and Nanny Coram Davis. He was a member of Peacehaven Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years. Mr. Davis also served as a deacon. He was a member of Boonville Volunteer Fire Department and worked for the Town of Boonville for several years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Moxley Davis. He is survived by two sons, Benny T. (Judy) Davis and Ricky D. (Lucille) Davis; two grandchildren, Regina (Danny) Draughn and Randy (Lisa) Davis; two great grandchildren, Dillon Draughn and Kari & Kendra Davis; and two sisters, Edith Walker and Josie Childress. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 2:00PM at Peacehaven Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 924 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to thank the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for all the love, care, and support shown to them and Mr. Davis during this difficult time.
