Sadie Elouise Crews Turner

Sadie "Elouise" Crews Turner, 85, passed away Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. Mrs. Turner was born January 15, 1927 to the late Early Cornelius & Myrtle Adams Crews. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Joyce Gobble and Nellie Peele; five brothers Billy Crews, Glenn Crews, Eldon Crews, Ford Crews, and Roy Crews. Surviving are her husband of 65 years Roy Turner; her children Dennis Turner, Glenda (Richard) Mitchell, Ronnie Turner, Danny (Barbara) Turner, Teresa Turner; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters Hazel Reavis, Shirley (Herman) Harris; and Jeanette (Howard) Moore. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday August 3, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday August 4, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Bert Mathis and Rev. Glenn Belcher. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
