Novella Wagoner Adams

Yadkinville Mrs. Novella "Granny" Wagoner Adams, 82, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Willowbrook Health Care. Mrs. Adams was born August 4, 1930 in Yadkin County to Richard and Pearl Benton Wagoner. She retired from Hanes/Sara Lee Hosiery after 39 years of service. Mrs. Adams also worked at several local restaurants around the Yadkinville area. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Adams a brother, Grover Wagoner; and a great granddaughter, Jamie R. Hutchens. She is survived by two daughters, Colleen (Carl) Matthews and Vickie (Roy) Hartwell; one sister, Carrie Wilmoth; two brothers-in-law, Ivan (Mittie) Wagoner and Arnold (Peggy) Wagoner; a sister-in-law, Winnie Wagoner; five grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 13, 2012 at 4:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Justin Crouse officiating. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Friends cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Willowbrook Healthcare and the staff of Yadkin Valley Hospital for all the love, care, and support shown during this difficult time.
