Matthew David Mabe

- Mr. Matthew David Mabe, 30, of Pilot View Church Road passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1981 in Forsyth County to David and Delores W. Mabe. He was a graduate of Forbush High School Class of 1999, and received his Associate Degree from Surry Community College in Dobson. Mr. Mabe was a member of Pilot View Friends Meeting, was active with the NC Yearly Meeting Youth Friends, enjoyed participating in the Serenity Youth Choir, and through the Friends United Missions was able to go on a mission trip to Jamaica. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Hugh and Margaret G. Williams. Surviving are his beloved parents, David and Delores Mabe of the home; his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Avis Mabe of Charlotte; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his special canine companion, Bella, whom he loved and adored. A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Mabe will be 3:30 PM Saturday August 18, 2012 at Yadkinville United Methodist Church by Rev. Andy Lambert and Tim Vestal. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Family Life Center of the Church, and the family will receive friends. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NC Yearly Meeting Missions Committee, 4811 Hilltop Road, Greensboro, NC 27402.
