Tony Wayne Turner

Yadkinville Mr. Tony Wayne Turner, Sr. passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Turner was born January 31, 1953 in Forsyth County to Clarence and Ila Hawks Turner. He worked as a crane operator in Charleston, SC for many years, a job which he loved. In addition to his father, Mr. Turner was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Turner; and two brothers, Roger and Larry Turner. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Marshall Turner; three children, Cynthia Bruner, Tony Wayne Turner, Sr., and Keith (Leann) Turner; eight grandchildren, Destiny Welch, Hope Bruner, Colton Bruner, Megan Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Brandon Turner, Nathan Turner, and Gracie Turner; two sister, Faye (Posie) Snow and Joann Snow; and two brothers, Leroy (Annie) Turner and Johnny Turner. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00AM Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville. Gentry Family Funeral Service is serving the Turner family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 924 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home and the staff of WF Baptist Palliative Care for all the love, care, and support shown to them during this difficult time.
