Virginia James Hodges

Hodges Yadkinville - Virginia Lee James Hodges, 83, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1929 in Stokes County to the late David Matthew James and Ethel Culler James. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Kemp; sisters, Brenda Gail James, Betty "Tootie" Farrington; brothers, Frisco James, David James. Surviving are her children, Tommy Smith, Sandra (Fred) Cain, David Smith; grandchildren, Tim Kemp, Denise Smith, Dr. Candice (Chris) Fix; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters, Geneva "Sissy" (Joe) Fulp, Carol (Red) Hackett; aunt, Doris Smith; uncle, Steve Farrington. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Jimmy Tucker. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Hodges family.
