Charles Wade Scott

East Bend Mr. Charles Wade Scott, 73, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at his home. Mr. Scott was born April 30, 1939 in Yadkin County to Herman and Minnie Leamon Scott. He loved to work, enjoyed tobacco farming, and he loved listening to gospel music. Mr. Scott was a member of Forbush Friends Meeting. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by a niece, Jeanna Brown; a nephew, Terry Scott; one sister, Sarah Stokes; and two brothers, J.D. Scott and Buford Scott. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Brown Scott; two children, Susan (Russell) Wright and Jason (Beth) Scott; four grandchildren, Brittany Renee Evans, Curtis Wayne Evans, Aubrey Nicole Scott, and Natalie Brooke Scott; two great grandchildren, Skyler Grace Evans and Dakota Raine Evans; one sister, Edith (Johnny) Shore; one brother, Roger Scott; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 4:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2012 at Forbush Friends Meeting by Rev. Brian Poindexter, Rev. Andy Lambert and Rev. Johnny Shore. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice PO Box 1267 Yadkinville NC 27055 or to Forbush Friends Family Life Center, 4460 Forbush Rd East Bend NC 27018. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the caregivers including, Sherry Mooney, Kristen Johnson and especially to all the neighbors and friends who have been faithful in helping with his care.
