Edrena (Eddie) Holcomb went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2012 at her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, Christian and a friend to all. She will truly be missed by her loving family and her many friends. She was born January 1, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Jesse James and Annie Chandler Angell. She was 88 years old. She retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and she was a member of Yadkinville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Calvin Holcomb, five sisters Laura Patterson, Ressie Taylor, Bessie Thomas, Hazel Wood, and Ruth Kelly; one brother Claude Angell. She is survived by her loving daughter Sue Snider and husband Dave of Advance and devoted granddaughter, Deanna Lea Collins, two great grandsons Kalib Lee Collins and Karson Garrett Collins who were her pride and joy. Also surviving is her last loving and devoted sister, Wanda (Earl) McDaniel of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Yadkinville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Oliver Helsabeck. Eddie left a Special Message to her family and friends. She loved you all dearly and each of you where special to her. She thanks you for the love, care, support and kindness during her illness.
