Betty Jean Collins Cheek

Mrs. Betty Jean Collins Cheek, 75, passed away Thursday October 4, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Cheek was born in Yadkin County on October 17, 1936 to the late Thomas Sanford & Cora Isabelle Collins. She was a member of First Christian Church of Clemmons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Jessie Cheek, two sons David Joseph Cheek and Albert Lee Cheek; two brothers Joshua and Warren G. Collins. Surviving are her son Doug (Tammy) Cheek; grand children Michael Reagan, Ryan Cheek, Brandy Cheek; great grandchildren Kaleb Reagan; sisters Annie Pearl Warden, Mary Gray "Shorty" Evans, Beulah Warden; four brothers Roger, Ray, Bobby, and Bruce Collins. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 Sunday October 7, 2012 at gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday October 7, 2012 at Deep Creek Friends Church cemetery by Rev. Roger Collins and Pastor Eddie Clark. The family would like to say a very special thanks to everyone involved for the loving care given to Mrs. Cheek during her Illness. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
