Josie Davis Childress

Childress Yadkinville - Josie Davis Childress, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 08, 2012. She was born September 10, 1918 in Yadkin County to the late Leonard Green Davis and Nannie Coram Davis. Josie was a member of Northwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Childress; brother, Clyde Davis. Surviving are her sister, Edith Walker; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Northwood Baptist Church by the Dr. Allen Barker and the Dr. Hubert Wishon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Northwood Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Childress family.
