Bobby Joe Vanhoy

Bobby Joe Vanhoy, 77, passed away Sunday October 21, 2012 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Vanhoy was born May 21, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late William Marvin & Bert Colbert Vanhoy. Mr. Vanhoy was retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Timothy Vanhoy, two sisters and five brothers. Surviving is his wife of 58 years Mary Sue Vanhoy, children Ronnie (Betsy) Vanhoy, Barbara (Chris) Mathis; three grandchildren Adam (Erica) Mathis, Angela Mathis (Fiancée Jamie), Bradley (Lisa) Vanhoy; great-grandchild Addison Vanhoy. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday October 26, 2012 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday following the visitation in the Chapel by Rev. Justin Duncan. Burial will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Woltz Hospice Home and the 3rd floor nursing staff at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for the loving care given to Mr. Vanhoy.
