Atteree Marion Frazier

Yadkinville Mrs. Atteree Marion Frazier, 91, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Frazier was born July 15, 1921 in Surry County to Julius and Myra Shore Marion. She was a member of Yadkinville Penecostal Holiness Church and retired from General Motors Corporation. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frazier was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Frazier; two brothers, Warren and Paul Marion; and two sisters, Lexie Hayes and Grace Key White; five nephews, Charles, Terry, Gray, and Timothy Marion and Buddy Hayes; and one niece, Brenda Marion. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lowry and Lillian Marion; one niece, Faye Hayes; four great nephews and one great niece. She was a granny to Andrea, Jennifer, Haylee, Chloe, Charlie, and Kayelyn. Her first love was the Lord then her friends, Barbara, Doris, Carolyn, Betty, Ruby, and Brenda. They kept her laughing, joking, and she enjoyed every minute she spent with them. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00AM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. JP Sizemore and Rev. James Tallentt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens in Lexington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Frazier wanted to thank her favorite niece, Faye Hayes, for all she had done for her: her love, kindness, generosity, and especially her good cooking. "You are never alone when you are loved." The family wishes to thank Mnt. Valley Hospice, especially Margie and Lynn, for all the love, care, and support shown to them during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mnt. Valley Hospice.
