Rachel Long Hemric

Hemric Glasgow, KY- Rachel Long Hemric, 89, of Glasgow KY, passed away Sunday November 4, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter, Suzanne McDaniel. She was a 1941 graduate of West Yadkin High School, a Sunday School Teacher at Oak Grove Baptist Church for 35 years. She was the owner of the Hemric Century Farm, Home of Greenbrier Place Bed and Breakfast. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Hemric and four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter Veta Suzanne Hemric of Glasgow, KY; two grandchildren Beth Ireland, Hamptonville NC, Suzanne McDaniel of Glasgow KY; six great grandchildren Bo, Laura and Ada McDaniel, Glasgow KY, John, Anna, and Jack McCormick of Hamptonville NC. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be conducter Wednesday November 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Lefler. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Charlie Strode Funeral home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky is in charge of the arrangements.
