Thomas Richard Harris

- Thomas Richard Harris, 67, passed away Saturday November 10, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Harris was born February 26, 1945 in Surry County to the late John Truman & Stella Jane Davis Harris. Mr. Harris enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Inez Garris and Shirley Collins; one brother Thad Reid Harris. Surviving are his wife of 42 years Sussie Clementine Harris; two daughters Jennifer (Timmy) Crouse, of Dobson, NC; Sharon (Chip) Main, of Washington, NC ; also left to cherish his memory are three grandchildren Wendell "Tray" Main III, Macy Olivia Main, Rebekah BessieJane Crouse; special nephew Dwayne Collins; two sisters Della Mae Combs and Bernice Speight. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Sunday November 11, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Mr. Harris funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday November 12, 2012 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. Burial will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Willowbrook Rehabilitation health care Center and the Staff of Forsyth Medical center for the loving care given to Mr. Harris.
