Ruby Cranfill Myers

Myers Yadkinville- Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Cranfill Myers, 87, of Eaton Place passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her home. She was born February 14, 1925 in Yadkin County to the late Lloyd and Della Driver Cranfill. Ruby worked for several years at Blackwelders and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Yadkinville as long as her health permitted. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker to her family. Ruby enjoyed the years she was able to travel around the United States and to the mountains of North Carolina with her late husband, Jethero Calvin Myers, Sr., and the time she spent with "The Golden Girls" at Eaton Place, where she lived. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, and by two brothers, Thomas Allen "T.A." Cranfill, and James Lloyd Cranfill. Surviving are her children, Virginia Ann Shore and husband, Edward, of High Point; David Myers and wife, Judy of Yadkinville; J.C. Myers, Jr., and wife, Cynthia of Trinity; Grandchildren, Glenn Shore, Kevin Shore, and wife, Della, Julie M. Groce and husband, Michael, Bradley Myers, and wife, Barbara, Jason Myers and wife, Tammy, Angela Myers Paschal and husband, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Kacey Gorman, and husband, Ryan, Lauren, Brittany, Anna, Brandon, Matthew, and Holden Shore, Tate C. Williams, Braeden, Benjamin, Brielynn, and Barrett Myers, Ty Groce, and Ian Myers; sister, Marie Adams, Greensboro; and all her special friends at Eaton Place. Her funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. John Brown and Dr. Dallas Prestwood. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:30PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Burial will follow in Yadkin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Myers special caregivers, Maria Garza and Michelle Zamora, her nurse Cindy Bullins, and to Mountain Valley Hospice for all the loving care given to Mrs. Myers.
