White Yadkinville - Jimmy Ray White, 73, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born July 17, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Albert O. and Josephine Groce White. Jimmy retired from R.J. Reynolds with 37 years of service and Sears Catalog after 20 years. He was a member of Pilot View Friends Meetings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Doreatha Johnson White. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Zachary White; children, Elizabeth White ( Eddie) Baity and Jimmy Kyle (Wendy) White; grandchildren, Sara Baity (Chad) Patterson, Jeff (Mandy) White, Dylan White, and Taylor Baity; great-grandson, Bryson White; brothers, Kenneth (Jo) White, Gary (Carolyn) White. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at Pilot View Friends Meetings by the Rev. Gene Moser and the Rev. Jennifer York. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
