Nina Woodruff Hutchens

East Bend Mrs. Nina Marie Woodruff Hutchens, 99, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Hutchens was born September 19, 1913 in Yadkin County to Winnie and Hallie Shore Woodruff. She attended Boonville High School and later went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was always a helpmate to her husband in business. Mrs. Hutchens was a member of East Bend Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutchens was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Brewer Hutchens; and fourteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by one sister, Angie Wright and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00AM at East Bend Friends Meeting with Rev. Bobby Choplin and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Hutchens. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hutchens family.
