Johnny Walter Gilliam

Johnny Walter Gilliam. 73, passed away December 7, 2012 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gilliam was born June 30, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Raymond Egbert & Selma Gaton Gilliam. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter Emmalyn Gilliam. Surviving are his wife Laura Triplett Gilliam; three sons Brian Gilliam, Kelly (Becca) Gilliam; Chris Gilliam; grandchildren Laura Ellen Gilliam, Jonathan Gilliam, Clarisse Gilliam, Bryce Johnny Gilliam. Three sisters Columbia Groce, Margaret Simmons, Nancy Brown; two brothers Dizzy Gilliam and Barry Gilliam. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 12, 2012 at Fall Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Don Hudson and Rev. Kelly Gilliam. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery.
