Linda Pettit Tucker

- Mrs. Linda Pettit Tucker, 69, of Wyo road passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at Walnut Cove Healthcare Center. She was born August 27, 1943 in Yadkin County to the late Howard L. and Annie Pearl Miller Pettit. Mrs. Tucker worked with the Yadkin County Schools at the Success Academy for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Clarkson. Surviving are her devoted husband of 49 years, Jimmy W. Tucker, of the home; her son, Derek Tucker, Yadkinville; Grandchildren, Brandy Tucker, Jessica Tucker, both of Yadkinville; sister, Gaynell (Jimmy) Brawley, Yadkinville; brother, Dennis (Diane) Pettit, Yadkinville, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Courtney Baptist Church by Rev. Billy Seats. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
