Lonnie Elwood Thomas

Thomas East Bend - Lonnie Elwood Thomas, 71, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born May 24, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Thomas "Chuck" Elwood Thomas and Lois Mickles Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bobby" Thomas. Surviving are his wife, Linda Taylor Thomas; daughters, Amie (Scott) Brendle, Angie (Jay) Funk; grandchildren, Benjamin Brendle, William Watson-Brendle, Julie Brendle, Taylor Brendle, Jacob Funk, Jessica Funk; brother, Richard (Mary) Thomas. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His graveside service will follow the visitation at New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Gary Mahathey.
