Lena Lorene Joyner Moore

Lena Lorene Joyner Moore, 79, passed away January 9, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Moore was born August 14, 1933 in Iredell County to the late Stanley Dolphus and Sarah Gertrude Holland Joyner. She was of the Baptist Faith. Lorene attended Joyner School and graduated from Harmony School in 1951. She worked at Hanes Hosiery and Autumn Care of Mocksville as a CNA. She was preceded in death by three brothers Claude Joyner, Ralph Joyner, Clay Joyner; two sisters Clydean Joyner and Lucille Boger. Surviving are her husband of 57 years Jack H. Moore who she married on July 23, 1955; one daughter Cheryl Moore Cutlip ; two sons Keith (Cindy) Moore, Kent (Marjorie) Moore, ; adopted daughter Joy (Wayne) Moose, ; grandchildren John and Jessica Moore, Leigh Ann Moore; two sister-in-laws Glenna Joyner and Lula Mae Joyner. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday January 12, 2013 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church by Rev. David Kiser and Dr. Allen Barker. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the nurses and doctors on the 2nd floor at Forsyth Hospital and the Hospice of Iredell County for the loving care given to Mrs. Moore.
