Flossie Vestal Whtie

Jonesville Mrs. Flossie Viola Vestal White, 93, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Elkin Healthcare. Mrs. White was born October 22 1919 in Yadkin County to Buford and Tine Shore Vestal. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Franklin White; a brother, Houston "Stiffy" Vestal and two sisters, Pauline Vestal Ham and Emily Vestal Chappell. She is survived by a daughter, Margie (Jimmy) Hensley; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Ham; a niece, Diane Chappell; and a nephew, Dale Chappell. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:30PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Stewart and Rev. Jimmy Pulley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. The family wishes to thank the staff of Elkin Healthcare for the love and kindness shown to Mrs. White. Also, to the staff of United Hospice of Wilkes for the special care given and for making Mrs. White as comfortable as possible. God bless each one of you for the job that you do.
