Melvin Coerite Cummings, 68, passed away Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Cummings was born July 1, 1944 to the late Melvin Alexander & Mamie Elizabeth Macy Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a retired Truck Driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pattie Sue Cummings; a sister Margaret Jordan; three brothers Bill Cummings, Pete Cummings, and Matthew Cummings. Surviving are his children Tammie (Bobby) Bodenhamer, Dwayne (Jennifer) Cummings, Jeffery Cummings; grand Children Brooke Sizemore, Michael Sizemore, Kirsten Vestal, Laura Bodenhamer, Cloyce Bodenhamer, Amber Bodenhamer, Caden Bodenhamer, Justin Bodenhamer, Tristin Cummings, Landon Cummings, Ty Cummings; great grandchildren Payton Weber, Brady Collins, Jordan Collins, and Maci Eidson; two sisters Alma (Jim) Joseph, Mary Ann (James) Overman; three brothers Howard Cummings, John (Patsy) Cummings, Joe (Mimi) Cummings. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday January 27, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Mr. Cummings service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday January 27, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Prevette. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery.
