Ivan Henderson Hemric, Jr.

Ivan Henderson Hemric, Jr., 65, passed away Monday February 4, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Hemric was born April 28, 1947 in Surry County to the late Ivan Henderson Hemric, Sr. and Bernice Gentry Benton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Becky Newman, a brother-in-law Alan Combs. Surviving are four kids Chad (Sabrena) Hemric, April Adams, Justin (Kimberly) Myers, Tiffany Myers; grandchildren Ayden Adams, Haley Hemric, Ashley Hemric, Lauren Hemric; two sisters Vivian Combs and Sherry (Bud) Holleman. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday February 6, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday February 7, 2013 at Fall Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Don Hudson. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Palliative Care at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for the loving care given to Mr. Hemric.
