Robert Lee Dickens

Robert Lee Dickens, 70, passed away Saturday morning; March 2, 2013 after a short illness. He was born in Iredell County August 27, 1942; he was the son of Raymond and Vivian Dickens of Harmony. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army with the 565th Medical Company Group stationed in Germany. Surviving in addition to his wife, Diane Everidge Dickens is a son Christian Dickens (Lori) and a daughter, Robin Beck (David). Five grandchildren: Haigen (Devin), London, Savannah, Summer, Colton and a great granddaughter, Peighton. Also surviving a sister, Sheila Campbell (Perry), brother, Jerry Dickens (Lisa) and his mother, Vivian Dickens. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sue Ellen and his father Raymond Dickens, and a brother Jason Dickens.The family will recieve freinds from 6-8 Pm Sunday March 3, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday March 4th at Holly Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Cliff Gwaltney, Rev. Jerry Gwaltney and Brandon Gwaltney. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by the North Iredell American Legion Post 113. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holly Springs Building Fund Holly Springs Baptist Church 355 West Houstonville Road Harmony, NC 28634.
