William Lee Matthews

William Lee Matthews, 54, passed away Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1958 in Yadkin County to William Clifford & Mary Pearl Atkins Matthews. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother Mary Atkins Matthews, a brother Jimmy (Sydney) Matthews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday March 7, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Mr. Matthews funeral will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday March 8, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Archie Creed and Rev. Bob Choplin. Burial will follow at Union Cross Friends Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care 11th floor at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Wake Forest Cancer Center in Clemmons for the loving care given to Mr. Matthews.
