Clifton State Road - Bernie Edward Clifton, 61, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. He was born July 11, 1951 in Surry County to the late Marlin Isaac Clifton and Mae Ruth Creed Clifton. Surviving are his children, Chad Clifton, Kimberley (Rex) Lawson, Jason (Amber) Midkiff; grandchildren, Garrett Lawson, Schae Lawson, Bradley Midkiff, Isaac Midkiff; great grandson, Terrance Anderson; sister, Ruth (Mickey) Vestal; brothers, Donald (Judy) Clifton, Johnny (Sharon) Clifton. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. John Attaway. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Memorials can be made to Mt.
