Louise Laffoon Walker

Walker Yadkinville - Mrs. Louise Laffoon Walker, 89, of Brookridge Retirement Community, passed away on Friday, March 15 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Elkin, North Carolina on March 26, 1923 to Harvey F. Laffoon and Lillian Laffoon who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Grace Laffoon. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dr. Frank H. Walker. Mrs. Walker worked with her husband in his dental practice in Yadkinville, NC as office manager until their retirement in 1990 after serving their community for over 46 years. She was also an active member of First Baptist Church of Yadkinville for over 66 years. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Reverend Ken Boaz and the Reverend Richard Eskew. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Elkin. The family will receive friends for one hour prior the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
