Wagoner Hamptonville - Earlie Jay Wagoner, 68, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born September 18, 1944 in Yadkin County to the late R J Wagoner and Mozelle Salmon Wagoner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lou Wagoner; brother, Shirley Wagoner. Surviving are his children, Debra (Randy) Childress, Earlie Thomas Wagoner, Michelle Wagoner Short; step-children, Pam Ramsey, Diane (Tate) Linley; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Doris (Michael) Caudill, Tiny Wagoner; brothers, J.C. (Debbie) Wagoner, Burlie Wagoner. His funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at United Fellowship by the Rev. James Milam and the Rev. Johnny Arnold. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Wagoner family.
