Sara Louise Holcomb

Holcomb Yadkinville- Miss Sara Louise Holcomb, 103, of Elm Street passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. She was born August 26, 1909 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late John D. Holcomb Sr., and Eleanor Nora Hamlin Holcomb. Miss Holcomb was a graduate of Appalachain State Teachers College, and retired with 29 years of service teaching in Yadkin County. She was a member of Yadkinville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John D. Holcomb, Jr. and his wife Blanche Williams Holcomb. A graveside service will be held for Miss Holcomb 1:00 PM Monday at Harmony Grove Friends Church Cemetery by Rev. Oliver Helsabeck. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
