Welch Mocksville - Portia Ann Blake Welch, 55, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 17, 1958 in Davie County to Hubert Arbor Blake and Pauline Hutchins Blake. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Blake. Surviving are her mother, Pauline Blake; sons, Chris Burgess, Eric (Lisa) Burgess; special companion, Randy Brown; grandchildren, Kirsten Burgess, Makenna Burgess, Lylah Burgess; sisters, Kathy (Tony) Blake, Linda (David) Smith, Marcia (Terry) Anderson; brothers, Wayne (Jill) Blake, Ray (Jean) Blake, Dale Blake; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Keith Jones. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
