Singleton Boonville- Mastin Carroll Singleton, 80, passed away Friday March 29, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Singleton was born in Shelby, N.C. on February 14, 1933 to the late Guy & Vernie Southard Singleton. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout despite having polio at the age of 4. After graduating from N.C. State University, he worked as a textile designer at Chatham Mfg. Co. for 37 years. He then, along with two partners, started Textile, Inc. in Ronda. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. Surviving are his wife of 54 years Wilma Moxley Singleton, a daughter Donna (David) Pardue, a son David (Jana) Singleton; grandchildren Alex and Adam Pardue, Laurenn and Sarah Singleton. Also four nephews and many close friends and relatives including Robert Moxley and Teresa Reece. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 PM Monday April1, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday April 1, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Mark Reece, Jr. and Rev. John Brown. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery.
