Edith Williams Dinkins

Dinkins Yadkinville - Edith Irene Williams Dinkins, 98, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at WIllowbrook Nursing Care Center. She was born October 5, 1914 in Iowa, one of sixteen children, to the late William Columbus Williams and Sarah North Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wade Dinkins; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son, John Wayne Dinkins; sister, Mildred Williams Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Forbush Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe Souther. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Dinkins family.
