Kathryn Williams Hege

Yadkinville Kathryn Williams Hege, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 20, 2013. She was born November 28, 1934 in Yadkin County to Pattie Johnson and James Herbert Williams. She was from the Welch family of Cardiff, Wales. The loves of her life were her husband of 23 years, George William Hege, and her children Dale (Tammy) Ring of Kernersville, Karen (Becky) Ring of Yadkinville, Darrell (Kristin) Ring of Yadkinville and step children Gary (Catherine) Hege of Jackson, GA, Steve (Laurin) Hege of Cambridge, MA, Kenneth (Michelle) Hege of Houston, TX and Tim (Stephanie) Hege of Charlotte, NC. Survivors also include her beloved grandchildren, Garrett Ring of Asheville, Jackson Ring and Jordan Ring of Kernersville, Conner Ring and Sarah Ring of Yadkinville, Corey Hege of Delaware, Kameron Hege of Illinois and Thomas Hege of Raleigh. Also surviving are her two brothers Jim (Betty) Williams and Sam (Kathy) Williams of Yadkinville and six nieces and nephews. Kathryn loved to travel and visited all 50 states as well as 13 different countries. She was a member of Clemmons Moravian church and attended Yadkinville United Methodist church when her health permitted. A visitation for Mrs. Hege will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 pm with the service immediately following at 3:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, NC. Burial will be at the Yadkinville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation or Mountain Valley Hospice.
