Randy Dale Groce

GROCE Jonesville - Mr. Randy Dale Groce, 56, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Groce was born January 5, 1957 in Surry County to John and Columbia Gilliam Groce. He was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. He worked as a machinist and a farmer, and was a devoted husband and loving father. Mr. Groce was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moses and Floy Groce and Ray and Selma Gilliam. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lois Vestal Groce; two children, Melanie Groce and Sgt. Jordan (Silke) Groce; one brother, Rex (Mary) Groce; nieces and nephew, Erin Groce, Emily Nabors, Tim (Amy) Nabors, and Robin Nabors. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Jonesville First Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
