Helen Willis Messick Watson

Helen Willis Messick Watson, 86, passed away Friday April 26, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Watson was born November 22, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Glattus & Nellie Reinhardt Messick. She married Frank Watson on October 31, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years Frank Watson, two sisters, two brothers, two sons-in-law Ronnie Garris and Dexter Byrd. Surviving are her children Foy (Helen) Watson, Donald (Brenda) Watson, Jimmy (Bonnie) Watson, James (Rebecca) Watson, Nancy Watson Garris, Peggy (Darrell) Campbell, Carol Byrd Severt, Billy (Patricia) Watson, and Louise (Carlie "Wezzer") Cockerham; twenty grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; one great- great- grandchild; two brothers Albert Messick and Larry Messick. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Monday April 29, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday April 29, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Shane Pardue. Burial will follow at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Watson.
