Deskins Advance - Thornton Harold Deskins, Sr., 88, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. He was born April 11, 1925 in McDowell County, WV to the late John and Susie Adair Deskins. Surviving are his wife, Patsy Marie Estep Deskins; children, Linda (Chuck) Hewins, Ann (Dennis) Williams, Susie (Joseph) Kwolkoski, Judy (David) Clark, Harold (Peggy) Deskins, Jr., Karen (Mark) Shrader, Kyle (Lynn) Deskins; nine grandchildren. His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Deskins family.
