Dennis Wayne Redmond

Mr. Dennis Wayne Redmond, 49, of Deep Creek Church Road passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013. He was lovingly known as "Country" by all of his friends and family. Mr. Redmond was born June 29, 1963 in Yadkin County to Bruce and Mary Avon Chambers Redmond. He worked for over 20 years at Indera Mills, and was currently working with Sizemore Poultry Farms. Dennis "Country" Redmond loved to work in his garden with vegetables or landscaping his flowers. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, and all of his family. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Alice Chambers, and a brother, Bruce Michael Redmond. Surviving are his mother, Mary Avon C. Redmond; brothers and sisters, Richard Chambers, Regina (Jimmy) Williams, Raunchy "Mickey" Redmond, all of Yadkinville; Diedra Redmond, Boonville; his special friends, Cameron Sizemore, Sandra Sizemore, and Oscar Mendoza; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Lancaster, Rev. Robin Speaks, and Brother Phillip Williard. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Harmony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the funeral home in an effort to help with their expenses.
