Larry Warren Norman

Larry Warren Norman, 68, passed away Thursday May 2, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Norman was born May 6, 1944 in Surry County to the late Rev. Warren G. David & Stella Rachels Norman. He was retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer with 20 years' service and also retired with 25 years at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an Instructor. Mr. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Larry Warren Norman, Jr. Surviving is his wife Jacquelyn Phelps Norman; a daughter Teresa (Todd) Phillips; a son Larry (Michelle) Norman; grandchildren India Phillips, Chelsea Phillips, Chase Gent; sister Wanda Norman (Steve) Taylor; two brothers David (Janice) Norman and Dean (Debbie) Norman; several nieces and nephews; special friends Jimmy & Verna Gregory. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday May 5, 2013 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Mark Elmore. Family will receive friends following the service. Another service will be conducted in Chesapeake Virginia at a later date with full Military and Masonic Service. The family would like to Thank Kate B.
