Hazeleen Whitman LeQuire

Mt. Airy Mrs. Hazeleen Augusta Whitman LeQuire, 84, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013. Mrs. LeQuire was born June 22, 1928 in Gaston County to Paul and Hattie Starkey Whitman. She served as a minister's wife for 62 years, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. LeQuire was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Rev. James Pearly LeQuire; and two sisters, Pauline Whitman and JoAnn Stewart. She is survived by a son, Randy (Virginia) LeQuire; two grandchildren, Amber (Chad) Muncy and Joel (Heather) LeQuire; two great grandchildren, Camden and Carter Muncy; two sisters, Frances Holcombe and Ruth (John) Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00PM at Yadkinville Church of God with Rev. Tim Jones and Rev. Charles Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Gospel Chapel cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family wishes to thank Penny Culler with Mtn. Valley Hospice for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. LeQuire during her illness.
